Post 135: Calm Before the Storm

Truer words have never been spoken as what Jackée Harry has said about the chaos of life. For some, it really is a daily struggle. For others, they lead luckier, less chaotic daily lives. However, around the holidays, I think everyone experiences some chaos.

That's why I had decided to take a few days off this week, before the real chaos of Christmas and New Years begins. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do as a blogger, but knowing how hectic everything is about to get, I've had to chill out and refocus so I don't drive myself crazy! Writing is a calm for me, but every now and then I also need a break from doing it so I don't burn myself out.

I mean, I'm a tween for crying out loud, with tween attitude and outlook. If I have to hear my little sister scream again about being blind because she can't see momma outside I'm going to bash my head against the wall lol. Like, come on kid, you can see everything else. She literally has the biggest Christmas gift near the tree, it's too big to be shoved under the lower branches. Spoiled brat.

So just remember, my dear readers, when you start to feel overwhelmed, take a step back, close your eyes and take deep breathes. You've survived everything this year has thrown at you! Give yourself a hug knowing that you gave 110% and bring in the new year with a smile. <3
