During winter, one cannot help but smile when the sun is out in full force and the snow hasn't been given the chance to stick around and blind you when you step outside. I love snow, but I also love seeing the ground knowing that it'll soon be covered in frozen water crystals. The sun will turn it into a glittering dreamlike scene and I often wonder how I lived without snow for so long.

Almost everything needs some sun. I wouldn't know what to do without sunshine, hopefully not go completely crazy. Having the sun shine on your face while your eyes are closed, soaking in the warmth is a lovely feeling. It's like the sun is sending you a hug and reminding you that it will be there for you tomorrow. It can be brutal sometimes and in certain areas, but people, animals and plant life adapt to it for survival.

So if you're ever feeling down, just remember that if you face toward the sun, you'll never see the shadows. And instead of waiting for the night to reach for the stars, reach for the sun.
