I can't say for sure what it is exactly about dress that appeal to me so much, even if I choose a t-shirt and pants to wear on most days. Dresses just seem so fun to wear. The skirts swish back and forth when you walk and it makes you want to twirl around and giggle when you have one on. I mean, outside during winter they aren't ideal to wear without stockings or leggings, anything to protect your legs from the bitter cold.
I think Christmas is used as a bit of an excuse to wear a fancy dress that you can follow up with an ever fancier dress to welcome the new year. So why not go all out on something shimmery or velvety. It is for Christmas and you probably deserve that fanciness in your life at least once a year!
