Post 137: Merry Christmas Everyone!

As of this post, it will be Christmas for some and Christmas Eve for the rest. I will keep this post short and simple as I know that many in the world will be celebrating this holiday in some way. I would just like to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas. I know that is not a phrase used by everyone, different cultures and religions have their own holiday saying at this time of the year, however my chosen phrase is the one I was raised with. I hope you all enjoy this wonderful holiday and tradition as the end of 2018 nears it's close.

Post 135: Calm Before the Storm

Truer words have never been spoken as what Jackée Harry has said about the chaos of life. For some, it really is a daily struggle. For others, they lead luckier, less chaotic daily lives. However, around the holidays, I think everyone experiences some chaos.

That's why I had decided to take a few days off this week, before the real chaos of Christmas and New Years begins. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do as a blogger, but knowing how hectic everything is about to get, I've had to chill out and refocus so I don't drive myself crazy! Writing is a calm for me, but every now and then I also need a break from doing it so I don't burn myself out.

I mean, I'm a tween for crying out loud, with tween attitude and outlook. If I have to hear my little sister scream again about being blind because she can't see momma outside I'm going to bash my head against the wall lol. Like, come on kid, you can see everything else. She literally has the biggest Christmas gift near the tree, it's too big to be shoved under the lower branches. Spoiled brat.

So just remember, my dear readers, when you start to feel overwhelmed, take a step back, close your eyes and take deep breathes. You've survived everything this year has thrown at you! Give yourself a hug knowing that you gave 110% and bring in the new year with a smile. <3

Post 134: Snowy Love

I love snow. Crazy, I know, but it's so pretty and wonderful to watch when it's falling from the sky in cold, puffy fluff pods. Sure, it means that it's cold outside and might not want to spend a lot of time outside, but I still love it. The sound it makes when you walk across it, crunching with each step, reminding you that it's there. You can roll a big snow ball and create an army of snow friends, each with their own unique shape and look. Even the shadows make it look pretty, with different designs throughout the day. And when night falls, it glitters and seems to glow in the dark, lighting the landscape. It's beautiful and I love it.

Post 133: Doing My Best

I've been a blogger since March of this year. When I first started I didn't really have any idea of how to blog for stores and events, so I researched. I added a whole bunch of people on facebook and read blogs. My photos when I started, UGH...I look back and think "ew, my pictures are so ugly, I need to make them better!" In 9 months, I feel like I have come a long way as a blogger. My blogging style and photo editing and photo style have continued to evolve. I've been told many times that I don't give myself enough credit, and I probably don't, but only because I'm striving to make myself better at what I love to do.

With that said, I hope that I do justice for the two shoppes featured in this blog post. I've blogged outfits for BeeBoo's for a few months now, as part of the Boutique Explorers event. DUST is a newer store that has joined the line up, but they're items deserve just as much attention. To the owners of BeeBoo's and DUST, thank you for your contributions, I appreciate and love them!

Post 132: Sweater Weather

Oh, sweaters, they're almost a year round fashion staple depending on where you live. Obviously in regions where the temperature doesn't drop low enough to warrant warmer clothing they're of no use, but for colder climate areas, chances are you have at least a few. I love sweaters, whether they're a cute fashion choice or a humorous one. As long as I like it, I'll wear it!
